Amazing Documentary To Share With Everyone You Know
This video was e-mailed to me and I would like to share it with you all. It's approximately 30 minutes long. It is a powerful, heart throbbing, recollection of historical events, that have not only touched the African American culture but the nation as well. It's a little graphic and it may be somewhat controversial. If you have small children be advised that some parts of it may be graphic and not recommended for children without parental guidance.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER BY MAYA ANGELOU
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in
Christ that a man should have to seek
Him first to find her.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin''
I'm whispering 'I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and
need His strength to carry on.
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and
need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but,
God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches,
so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

EARTHQUAKE!!!!!
WOW! I was just starting to relax and take my shoes off when everything started to shake, before I knew it I was standing in the doorway shaking like a leaf, but everyone here in my family is fine. Both of my daughters were away from home at the time but they called to make sure that I was ok and to say that they were coming home. I had a friend who came from out of town. She flew back the next day but she was ready to leave that night. She screamed i'm ready to go back to Wichita right now! It was so funny ;).

Homemade Turkey Soup
You will need:
Place the turkey breast in a large 6-quart pot. Cover with water, at least ¾ full. Peel onions, cut in large pieces and add to pot. Wash celery stalks, slice and add to pot also. Simmer covered for about 2 ½ hours. Remove the turkey breast bone (carcass) from the pot. Divide soup into smaller, shallower containers for quick cooling in the refrigerator.
After cooling, skim off fat. While soup is cooling, remove the remaining meat from turkey carcass. Cut into pieces. Add turkey meat to skimmed soup along with herbs and spices. Bring to a boil and add pastina. Continue cooking on low boil for about 20 minutes until pastina is done. Serve at once or refrigerate for later reheating. Serves 16.

Thought for today
Never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most education, the most money, or the most accolades .They are the ones that care for us.

SAVE A LIFE TODAY!
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
This is an e-mail sent to me and I am sharing this with you. It may save your life or the life of someone who is dear to you. Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. A lack of recognition to the signs of stroke can lead to death, cause the stroke victim to suffer severe brain damage and or Paralysis. According to the author of this article doctors say a by stander can now recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S * Ask the individualto SMILE. T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today?) R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.*If the person has trouble speaking, raising their arms or smiling this is an indication of
a stroke call 911 immediately. *New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or theother this also is an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. Will you help to save a life today?

Encouragement
“There is only one security, and when you've lost that security, you've lost everything you've got. And that is the security of confidence in yourself; to be, to create, to make any position you want to make for yourself. And when you lose that confidence, you've lost the only security you can have. ... Self-confidence is self-determinism. One's belief in one's ability to determine his own course. As long as one has that, he's got the universe in his pocket. And when he hasn't got that, not all the pearls in China nor all the grain and corn in Iowa can give him security, because that's the only security there is.”
L. Ron Hubbard
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”
Dale Carnegie
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.Watch your words, for they become actions.Watch your actions, for they become habits.Watch your habits, for they become character.Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Fun Recipes
Hello Everyone
This is one of my favorite recipes. It's not your mother's homemade chicken & dumplin but it's just as gooooooooooood! It takes hours off of the preparation and it's cost effective in today's economy.
Serves 2-4 people
Tip:
Season chicken to taste. I like to use my favorite seasoning salt, parsley, oregano, and a little lemon peper. I recommend skinless,
boneless chicken cut into cubes, medium size chicken legs, or party wings. It's more cost effective to buy the chicken with the skin on
cut it up and remove the skin yourself. Preparation for this recipe is about 3 minutes.
Recipe:
Add chicken to broiling water (or chicken broth for extra flavor), broil appx. 30 minutes. (In a medium to large sauce pan.)
Add 6 medium flour tortillas cut into strips apx. 2" (Rectangles)
Add 1 large can of your favorite cream of chicken soup reduce flames and simmer for about 5-10 minutes. (Tip: The longer you broil the soup the thicker the dumplings get.)
Please let me know what you think of this recipe and come back and post your favorites.
