Hi Everyone!Check out my Blog for Organic Gardening tips and more!
Hello group ! I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for Spring. I am so glad that the LONG Winter finally seems to be over. I have so very busy getting my herb and veggie gardens ready, making extra soaps, perfumes, balms... for a BIG show I have been invited to attend in May, and of course I have been hand-sewing several more of my eye mask/pillows and neck pillows with sachets to match. I am trying to have a bunch of everything for the show AND restock my B&M store as well as my 2 online stores. Whew, I'm getting worn out - LOL Organically Yours, Diana http://organicgiftsbydiana.mybisi.com/ http://www.squidoo.com/AllNaturalPerfume http://organicgiftsbydiana.ecrater.com/

Hi group...I'm a newbie! I was excited to find this group. I sell eco-friendly products, especially shopping totes and bags. I have a small organic garden and try to live a "green" lifestyle. View my photos for a few examples of my earth friendly products. I look forward to new ideas and meeting everyone!
Hello again everyone ! I hope you are all enjoying getting ready for Spring. We have been. My lilacs are getting ready to burst into bloom and I can't wait because I have a waiting list for my lilac soap and this year, i want to try my hand at a lilac perfume with them too. I will take a ton of blossoms to infuse into my oils to capture the scent, but it will be worth it. I also see my crocus is up and many other flowers and herbs are starting to peek their heads out of the dirt now. This is going to be a very busy year for me. I was invited to appear at a fundraiser for our local botanical garden and they asked me to bring lots of my products too. The person in charge said that their focus this year is on natural health and wellness so she wanted my products to be showcased for the hundreds of patrons to access to. I am so busy trying to make up extra products now so that I have enough for her patrons needs. I have been putting along and doing okay, and then I get "noticed" and now I think my business will really take off this year. It is exciting and scary at the same time - LOL Organically Yours, Diana http://organicgiftsbydiana.mybisi.com/ http://www.squidoo.com/AllNaturalPerfume http://organicgiftsbydiana.ecrater.com/
What is most important, organically in your life?
I don't think there is one thing that is most important to me really. To me being organic/all-natural is all encompassing. I try to have my foods, my yard, my products for health and beauty, cleaning products... as organic as possible. It is all related. You cannot have organic food with out tending to the earth and why bother eating organic foods if you are going to wear chemical-soup perfumes and petroleum lip balms... . Again, sometimes it isn't posible or feasable to be organic - but whenever it is possible - I do it for my family and for the planet. Organically Yours, Diana P.S. I knew there was room for both your organic group and for my organically minded groups : ) I enjoy taking part in yours and I'm sure you like mine as well.
Knowing that I'm doing my best to keep my home and my family as free from chemicals as possible. I'm not super woman and I can't do it all, we can't live in a bubble and avoid the rest of the world. We do what we can and we do our best - that is what is most important
I am so excited to find others that think the way I do. My story in short, I am a mother of 7 & a grandma of 2. My kids do not know any other way. My mother is a breast cancer survivor all natural, no chemo! I had liver failure do to un-natural (med's) thinking DR's, I healed myself naturally within 3 months, I went back to the Dr's and they told me that "no way could you heal yourself naturally" I had a clean bill of health and all the dr's could say "I guess if you ever get PG again you will DIE" that was after my 6th child.. I now have 7 and not dead!! My kids bring their friends over when they are sick or hurt and tell me to fix it!! I really enjoy doing so.. My step-father is 90 years old, he has had bone cancer for 15 years, the Dr's can not figure out why he is still alive, it is the healthy all natural living that my mother & I encourage our family to live... Our all natural living my not protect us from our un-natural environment but will keep us living a healthy long happy life!! So, live, laugh, & be happy Live long my friends...
Hello "fine jewelry" It is very nice to meet you ! I too enjoy talking to others who are into natural living. It is tough living in a world where most folks want the fake stuff and they look at us like we're nuts for working so hard trying to be all natural. It takes me months to make each of my prducts, but to me and my customers - it is well worth it, but I hear from some people "Why don't you just go to the drug store and buy some perfume or lip balm... ?" Some people will never get it, but I will still make mine because it is Sooooooooooooooooo much better and healthier. Take care and I loved hearing your intro. Hi Everyone! We live an organic lifestyle and nice to meet other who do also! Ruth and Marilyn Two Artisan Sisters
Yes, I too recycle my packaging, from boxes, to the peanuts to the bubble wrap. I save every bit. It's a good thing I have a finished basement I can store all this! Today's tip: Plastic reusable bagsYesterday I was making some cookies. Because I have Celiac Disease I bake just about everything we eat. I used raisins and walnuts in there and noticed they are now coming in zipper close bags. I used to get these in plastic containers before and amassed lots of those for leftovers! So I finished off the walnuts and washed out the bag with hot soapy water. I think this will make an excellent bag for freezing as it is heavy duty ply plastic. The zipper part seems to be in good working order so should last a long time. These bags seem to be used on many things of late, like I mentioned, raisins, nuts, also shredded cheeses, even my Gluten free baking mix. Which brings me to another kind of bag I have been seeing on the market. Since I don't use too many premade products I don't know how wide-spread these are but Pamela's which is a Gluten free baking mix and ready made company has been using these soft plastic opaque bags for awhile. They fold up very neatly and are tough. The ones my cake mixes and brownie mixes come in can easily be reused for a gift bag, just punch a couple of holes through the inside front and then match it up with two holes punched on the top of the bag, about an inch down and you can thread some string or ribbon through the front and then into the closed top. They are pretty with the label out, or can be turned inside out and stamped, painted or otherwise embellished. They also would make great storage bags, just use a spring clip on top to close. Want to make Christmas cookies for friends and relatives but don't have the time to make dozens and dozens? three different or same cookies placed in the bottom of one of these bags, stuff a piece of tissue paper or a cut up cookie tray that comes in commercial cookies and wrap up as described above and this will make a wonderful gift of cookies for the holiday and not kill you to remember everyone! With Pamelas bags you don't have to worry about turning the bag out, they use soy ink for their printing. Have fun with these little bags!
I think to keep this group going I will be trying to post a helpful organic/eco friendly tip at least once a week if not more. Please feel free to share your tips as well. Here's a timely one, I buy dinners from Amy's, I not only eat organic, but also can only eat things that are gluten free. So since my husband works second shift and we only have dinner together a couple times a week I get her meals. I save all the boxes and for my business I use them to make gift boxes from. You can easily find patterns on the net to make many different kinds. I also use the leftovers to make tags and punch a hole in them and string some natural twine through them, leftover from tying up parcels. But you can also use these for gift giving this holiday season. In fact why not make up your boxes first and then find things to fit in them, hopefully more recycled, repurposed things. And if you know someone who also eats organic, why not take that as a gift idea? In those little recycled boxes you make you could tuck in some organic teas, soaps, special cooking/salad oils, organic cotton washcloths, condiments, like special relishes, or pickles, olives, dried fruits or even a bottle of organic extracts. Some of these, if not all can be costly and sometimes cost prohibitive for some families but would be a welcome gift in a festive hand made box!
Good ideas ! I reuse packing /shipping supplies whenever possible and when I do - I put a sticker on the box (explaining the importance of keeping things out of landfills...) so my customers are reminded of how important this is and that I do not do it to save money as anything that goes priority gets a free box and tape - in fact it can cost me a little more because I have to pay for the stickers I have only had one person ask why and I explained to her that I live as organically and environmentally friendly as I can. Since these materials are still in pretty good shape, I don't want to waste them. I added that Since my WHOLE business is based on organic/natural/recycling/reusing/repurposing... - it just makes sense to do the same with my packaging too. Once I explained that, she understood and has since become a regular customer. Organically yours, Diana

Hi,I am fortunate to live a small family farm where we raise much of our own food without pesticides or herbicides. We raise llamas and sheep for their wool and are working on enlarging our herb garden. Looking forward to getting to know all of you. Have a nice weekend.
We try to eat as much organic food as possible. Buy from farmers market. I also recycle EVERYTHING we can and I resell clothing etc to keep it from the landfills.
Greetings all! I look forward to meeting you all! Brightest Blessings, Kat
